Advanced Approaches to Chronic Pain Management
Medscape Clinical Resources
Intractable pain affects millions of people worldwide and can decimate the pain sufferer's quality of life, destroying his ability to work and to interact with friends and family. Although a multidisciplinary approach and conservative treatment with a variety of medications often brings pain relief, a subset of patients require more aggressive management using interventional approaches including spinal cord stimulation and targeted intrathecal drug delivery. This Resource Center provides the latest medical news and clinical information on advanced approaches to intractable pain, including reports from recent conferences, review articles, CME programs, and links to clinical practice guidelines and other related resources on the Web.
